A fantastic opportunity to join a successful and stable components engineering business! We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to manage the end-to-end procurement and logistics process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition and delivery of materials.
This is a long-term role with opportunities for growth into broader operations responsibilities. The successful candidate will follow established processes while identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Source, negotiate, and purchase hydraulic components and materials
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Manage supplier contracts and evaluate vendor performance
- Process purchase orders with accuracy
- Experience in international ordering and buying, particularly from Europe (preferred)
Logistics & Inventory Management:
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Work with freight forwarders and logistics providers to optimise costs and transit times
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishments
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations
Operational Support:
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to align supply chain activities
- Manage ERP system data integrity and supply chain processes
- Handle warranty claims, supply returns, and product discrepancies
- Utilise data and analytics to support decision-making
The ideal person should have the following skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management
- MUST have international ordering and buying experience
- Experience procuring out of Europe is highly desirable
- Industrial procurement experience required
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, and customs regulations
- Ability to manage a large number of SKUs
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel a must)
